I’d Love to Meet Your Book Club
One of the greatest rewards of writing novels is hearing how readers experience them. Every book club notices something different, asks unexpected questions, and often spots details I never imagined anyone would catch.
If your book club is reading one of my novels, I’d be delighted to join your discussion.
If you’re in southwestern Ontario, I may be able to visit in person. If you’re farther away, I’m equally happy to join by Zoom from wherever you are.
Whether you’re curious about the mystery, the characters, the research behind the story, or simply want to chat about books, I’d love to meet you.

What We Can Talk About
Every discussion is different, but readers often ask about:
- Where story ideas come from—and how they become novels
- The inspiration behind characters, settings, and themes
- The research that shapes my stories, from grief and assisted dying to history, scams, and small-town life
- Characters’ backstories and scenes that never made it onto the page
- Plot twists, alternate endings, and deleted scenes
- The writing and editing process, from first draft to finished book
- Why I made certain storytelling decisions (yes, spoilers are welcome!)
- Life as an independent Canadian author The books I’m writing next
There are no wrong questions. If you’re curious, I’m happy to answer.
One warning: once readers start asking questions, I have a hard time stopping. I love talking about books.
Planning Your Visit
Most visits (whether in-person, if you’re local and my schedule allows, or virtual, if you’re not) last about 45–60 minutes, with plenty of time for conversation.
All visits are free and easy to arrange.
I can also offer a book club discount if you buy your books through me.
